First aid, when it really matters

23.01.2019:

Every two years Guido GmbH sends staff volunteers on training or refresher courses for the expertise needed for in-house first-aiders.

The time came around once again on Saturday, 31 August 2019, with 18 members of staff attending a one-day course at the Johanniter voluntary humanitarian organisation in Regensburg to bring their knowledge up to date. Basics such as the keeping of a first-aid log, treatment of wounds, application of compression bandages, as well as what to do when encountering an accident victim, including reanimation, use of a defibrillator, the recovery position, removing a helmet in case of an unconscious motorcyclist and much more besides were presented by the expert instructor in a clear and interesting form. The participants were able to gain valuable expertise not just for their tasks as in-house first-aiders but for their private lives too. Guido GmbH wishes to thank all the voluntary first-aiders for their commitment and hopes, together with them, that involvement in serious first responder incidents will never actually be required in practice.
